JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A military official was killed and two civilians were wounded in an armed attack in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Saturday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News unidentified gunmen opened fire at people from a rickshaw in the first police district at 8,00am.
A military official was killed in the gun attack, Khogyani said, without naming the victim. Two civilians were wounded, he added.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the shooting in Jalalabad, where three targeted attacks have taken place in recent days.
