No water released on Iran’s order, Taliban spurns allegations  

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): The Taliban have rejected allegations regarding the release of water from Kamal Khan Dam to neighboring Iran.

Earlier, some social media reports claimed that on the direction of Iranian authorities the Taliban released stored water of Kamal Khan Dam, an allegation the Taliban strongly rejected.

The Taliban Spokesperson for Nimroz Province Azam said: “This is enemy propaganda, an enemy that did not want the reconstruction of the country.”

The Islamic Emirate strive day night for the protection of Kamal Khan Dam, adding there was no threat to the water reservoir and the closure and release of water was nothing to do with Iran.

He added the video being release in this regard is from the past and social media activist used it now to promote propaganda.

Bahram Haqmal, the resident of Nimroz, said video circulating in the social media was not credible.
