Afghanistan records 42 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan records 42 new coronavirus cases and two deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health Said on Wednesday.

During the period 210 suspected cases brought to the different laboratories for test in which 42 were positive taking the total number of positive cases to 153,306 nationwide.

Of the new cases, 13 registered in Kandahar, 11 each in Kabul, Badakhshan, four in Nangarhar, two in Takhar and one in Farah province.

The ministry said 614 people have recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours taking the total number of recovered persons in the country to 110,183.

Two people died from coronavirus in the country and that brings the total number of deaths to 7,127.
