KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Foreign Affairs Minister Ameer Khan Mutaqi has said the government needed professional personnel and utilization of their skill and asked foreign ministry employees to return to their work.
Addressing his employees, Mutaqi said the Afghans fought for two reasons -- one was to eradicate foreign invaders and another a healthy competition with foreign nations that need mental skill and professional approach, not weapons.
He said: “People with higher education, professional skills, talent and with high degree of loyalty to Islam and the nation could forge healthy competition”
Mutaqi told his employees that he strongly believed in all staff, adding that those who doubted his intent and considered him outsider, Allah may ask him, nobody should be in any confusion and shall continue their activities.
He said people with every sort of talent should utilize their energies as it was the time to serve the country.
He said he had received a report that money collected against passport issuance was not deposited in the bank and went to private pockets. He said everyone should be careful to his job.
