Saleh’s brother shot dead in Panjsher

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Former vice-president Amrullah Saleh’s brother, Roohullah Azizi has been killed in central Panjsher province.

A source in the National Resistance Front told Pajhwok Afghan News Azizi was shot dead by unknown Taliban at the gate to Panjsher.

He was gunned down on his way from Bazarak, the provincial capital, to Kabul on Thursday.” The source said the victim’s body was still with the Taliban.

Meanwhile, a resident of the embattled province also confirmed that Azizi was shot dead by Taliban fighters.

Pajhwok tried to contact the Taliban for comments, but failed.
