Govt employees to receive salaries soon: Mujahid

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Information and Culture on Tuesday said that the government was working on a list of salaries of government workers who would receive their wages in the capital and provinces in the near future.

Deputy information and culture minister, ZabihullahMujahid, talking to a press conference, said, “There was some excess in some salaries, some people received very large mount in salaries, work is underway for controlling it…, all salaries would be paid in the near future, we promise.”

“People should be aware that banks were looted before we came to Kabul, you can get information from bank officials; millions of US dollars were looted from banks and transferred abroad through helicopters, banks were empty,” he said while referring to bad economic situation of the country.

Mujahid said some assets of Afghanistan had been frozen by some foreign circles that caused incomplete budget. He said that revenue from all services in the country was also still not fully collected but efforts were on for collection of revenue countrywide.

He said that the cabinet was now complete which would help businesses and governance to function normal and any present problems would be solved.
