The Union held a protest gathering and asked the Taliban to take steps in releasing money of private contracted from the NDA.

The CCU Head Nasrat Ahmad Abdullah said their companies worked on 1,080 projects some are completed while work on some projects was underway.

He added their companies did not get money for the completed projects and the fate of NDA was unknown as well.

Abdullah said their companies have invested in many projects and if the Taliban did not provide them money their investment will go in vain.

Toryali Momand, another representative of the Union, said hundreds of companies have registered with them and hundreds of people working with them.

He added the NDA owned around three billion afs to these companies and it should return this amount to them.

He said: “The NDA has up to five billion afs in different bank accounts adding that a delegation should be tasked to withdraw our money from the banks because we don’t have money to provide labours their wages.”
