KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Afghan and Pakistani security personnel on Thursday clashed in the Spinboldak-Chaman crossing, which resulted in the closure of the crossing, local authorities said.
The clash erupted after Pakistani security personnel misbehaved with some Afghan patients and injured persons while crossing into Pakistan.
Governor Spokesperson Mawlavi Azzam told Pajhwok Afghan News Pakistani forces misbehaved and maltreated some Afghan patients and injured some after which a clash erupted between the two sides.
He said after the incident the Taliban opened the crossing on their side while Pakistanis kept their side closed.
But a well-placed source in Spinboldak said both sides entered verbal clash which went on to physical clash, they used barrels of their weapons against each other. Three Pakistani personnel were injured in the clash.
After the Taliban take over, people’s movement on Spinboldak crossing has increased due to which Pakistani authorities have imposed some curbs.
