KABUL (Pajhwok): Russia has asked Afghanistan Tajikistan to resolve differences through negotiated settlement acceptable to both the countries.
Russian Foreign Ministry Alexei told reporters: “We are worried over increased tension between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.”
Alexei said the Taliban have stationed a number of troops in northern Takhar province closed to border with Tajikistan.
The Taliban and Tajikistan foreign ministries have not spoken in this regard so far.
