KABUL (Pajhwok): Seventy percent media outlets of the country have stopped functioning due to financial crisis, the Afghanistan National Journalist Union (ANJU) said on Sunday.
MasroorLatifi, ANJU spokesperson, told reporters here a survey in this regard was conducted in 28 provinces of the country. Seventy-five percent participants of the survey were men and the remaining were women.
He said from 1,200 to 1,500 people participated in the survey online, showing that 67 percent employees of media outlets had lost their jobs and currently only 33 percent have jobs.
