JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The administrative chief for Rodat district of eastern Nangarhar province has been killed in a bomb blast.
Some sources said that the district chief, Qari Fayaz Qanat, was killed and several other Taliban were injured in the blast.
Niaz Gul, a resident of Chaparhar district, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the bomb struck a vehicle belonging to Qari Fayaz Qanat. He said several others were injured in the incident.
A source in the hospital confirmed the death of Qanat.
Provincial security officials have not yet commented on the matter.
