Over 400 farmers receive agricultural tools in Samangan

AIBAK (Pajhwok): Several types of agricultural and livestock equipment provided by Germany were distributed to 416 farmers in 26 villages in Hazrat Sultan district of northern Samangan province.

JundullahFarooqNazari, head of agriculture and irrigation department of Samangan province, said the equipment included wool cutting machines, freezers for storing animal vaccines, milking buckets, spray pumps, plastic thermos, pruning shears, plastic gloves and some other tools.

Nazari said agriculture officials have various plans in the agriculture area and they would be implemented once the situation gets stable.

He called on agricultural organizations to help people of areas where there was little or no developments made in the previous government

Aziz Khan, a farmer who spoke on behalf of other farmers who received the equipment, was happy for the assistance and asked for more support to farmers and livestock owners in Ghor province.
