KABUL (Pajhwok): An Afghan official on Saturday called on leaders of the G20 member states to honor their pledge of providing 1.2 billion euros in aid to the people of Afghanistan.
The G20 summit is taking place today and tomorrow in the Italian capital, Rome.
"The winter is around the corner, so immediate need for the International Community to disburse on urgent basis the recently announced nearly one-billion-euro (some $1.2-billion) aid package pledged at a virtual G20 summit for Afghanistan , to all poor, vulnerable and displaced people," SohailShaheen, an Afghan government official tweeted on Saturday . . .
