KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov arrived in Kabul on Saturday for talks on a multibillion gas pipeline, the Ministry of Information said.
Meredov was received by Acting Foreign Minister Ameer Khan Muttaqi at Kabul airport, a statement from the ministry said.
Earlier in the week, Petroleum and Mining Minister Mohammad Esa Akhund and Turkmen Ambassador Hoja Ovezov discussed matters related to the TAPI gas pipeline project.
“For the project’s security, we will talk to relevant institutions and we will give you full assurance in this regard,” the minister was quoted as saying.
