Pakistan denounces attack in front of Kabul hospital

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan has denounced a terrorist bomb and gun attacks near the Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital in Kabul.

On Tuesday, two back-to-back explosions, followed by gunfire, rocked the 400-bed hospital, killing and injuring dozens of people.

A statement from the Foreign Office in Islamabad said: “Pakistan shares the pain and suffering of the families who lost their loved ones in these mindless terrorist acts.”

The statement conveyed Pakistan’s sympathies and support for those injured and prayed for their early recovery.

The Foreign Office reiterated Islamabad’s strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Taliban special forces prevented the attackers from entering the hospital. All assailants were killed at the entrance or in the courtyard.
