3 killed, 1 wounded in Baghlan traffic accident

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Three individuals have been killed and a fourth (the driver) injured as a result of a traffic accident in northern Baghlan province, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Maulvi Sher Ahmad Borhani told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place when a Passo-type car veered off the road and overturned, leaving three people dead and a fourth injured in Sang Sarakh area of Doshi district on Saturday (afternoon).

The driver and the dead bodies were shifted to Baghlan provincial hospital.

Arash Doshiwal, a resident, wrote on his Facebook page the dead individuals were students of the Baghlan University. They met the accident on the way to Pul-e-Khumri.

Last week, 13 people were killed and injured in an accident involving a truck in Salang area.
