KABUL (Pajhwok): Two kidnappers have been killed and three others arrested during an operation by security forces in Kabul, the Intelligence Department said on Sunday.
A child -- Batinullah -- was rescued from his captors during the raid in the Kart-e-Naw locality of the capital on Saturday, a statement from the department said.
Commander Qari Hassan said two kidnappers were killed and three others injured during the operation.
He added: “Some women involved in this case cooperated with the kidnappers. We assure the people that Islamic Emirate mujahideen will ensure their security at the cost of their heads.”
In a video clip, one kidnapper --- Yousuf -- confessed to his crime and said the child had been abducted from the 5<sup>th</sup> Road in Taimani area.
The rescued child said: “Some people kidnapped me and then the Islamic Emirate mujahidin rescued me from them.”
Ghulam Dastagir, Batinullah’s father, expressed happiness over the release of his child. His son had gone missing on October 30 and then they informed security forces to ensure his release, he concluded.
