BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Some coalminers in the Tala Wa Barfak district of northern Baghlan province have gone on strike against the killing of their colleague and demanded security assurances.
They claimed unknown gunmen recently attacked two of their colleagues. As a result, one of them was killed and another critically injured.
The victims reportedly hailed from the Waras and Shahristan districts of Bamyan and Daikndi provinces respectively and belonged to the minority Hazara community.
A coalminer, wishing not to named, said about 500 workers from Baghlan, Bamyan, Daikundi, Balkh, Parwan and Kabul provinces left the mine after the incident and . . .
