KABUL (Pajhwok): US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West says his country is not ready to recognise the Afghan government but talks between the two sides are set to resume in Qatar next week.
West told VOA on Tuesday there was no indication at the moment that Russia or China would recognise the Taliban’s interim government.
He said even if Russia and China recognised the Taliban government, the United States would not do so.
