MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): The passport office in central Kapisa province has been closed temporally, an official said on Sunday.
Information Director Karimullah Waseeq told Pajhwok Afghan News the office had been shut to address around 5,000 applications.
He said once the existing applications were disposed of, the office would resume normal operations.
Meanwhile, the provincial police headquarters asked applicants to avoid visiting the passport office until next announcement.
The Kapisa passport office began work last week. However, it has been closed again after five days.
