KABUL (Pajhwok): The Amnesty International has urged the Taliban caretaker government to reopen safe homes for women fleeing domestic violence.
The Amnesty International on Monday said the system of essential services for women victims of violence collapsed after Taliban’s return to power.
In its report, the Amnesty International said that during the previous regime in Afghanistan, women who had fled their homes due to violence were kept in safe houses.
The group called on Afghanistan's new caretaker government to reopen safe houses and provide protection to women and girls who have been victims of violence.
