SHARAN (Pajhwok): A high level government delegation from Kabul on Thursday visited southeastern Paktika province and renewed government commitment to preventing deforestation and freeing grabbed lands.
The delegation was comprised of representatives from the ministries of interior, agriculture, commerce and finance.
Interior Ministry Representative Mawlavi Mohammad AslamHaqqani said besides monitoring other government affairs, they came to Paktika to announce the formation of a 50-member force for protection of forests.
He said deforestation was completely banned in Paktika and they held meetings with relevant organs to free grabbed lands. He pledged lands grabbed by powerful individuals would be soon reclaimed . . .
