SHARAN (Pajhwok): Provincial government officials in southeastern Paktika province claim retaking hundreds of acres of state land from usurpers during the past few months.
Maulvi Mohibullah Hamas, deputy governor of Paktika, told reporters here that hundreds of acres of land had been usurped by powerful individuals and civilians.
He said hundreds of acres of land were reclaimed in the past few months and efforts were underway to recover the rest.
However, Hamaz did not provide exact figures for the land grabbed in the province.
