HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Eighteen people have been arrested in western Herat province over moral crimes, an official said on Sunday.
Police Spokesperson Mahmood Rasouli told Pajhwok Afghan News 18 people were arrested in a targeted operation in Police District 9th.
The cases of these alleged criminals had been referred to judicial organs for further investigation.
Zabihullah, a resident of Herat City, hailed the operation and the arrest of the criminals and demanded severe punishment for them so they could serve a lesson for others.
