Mualvi Abid injured in sticky bomb attack

KABUL (Pajhwok): Prominent religious scholar and khateeb Maulvi Abdul Salam Abid was injured a bomb blast that ripped through his vehicle in Kabul on Friday afternoon.

The sticky bomb was affixed to Mualvi Abid vehicle that went off in Parwan-i-She locality in Kabul’s fourth police district.

According to Facebook page of Mualvi Abid, the blast injured the scholar and one of his friends. The Facebook page quoted Mualvi Abid as saying that he was in hospital and his condition was stable.

Government officials have not yet commented about the blast and there was no claim of responsibility for the incident.

Mualvi Abid was injured in a similar attack previously.
