KABUL (Pajhwok): Officials say Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, the army chief, is not active on social media and a twitter account attributed to him, which publishes controversial posts, is fake.
Claim
A fake twitter page attributed to Qari FasihuddinFitrat, published pictures of Amrullah Saleh, former first vice president and Bismillah Khan, former defence minister and wrote: “This is the second time that the message of these two dignitaries approached me concerning their assets.”
“How fascinated they are with their wealth, about 12 fuel stations, seven showrooms, transport companies, 61 houses, high-rise buildings, 11 yards, two private media outlets and nine plots have been registered with Emirate so far,” the twitter post added.
On this page, three days ago, with a picture of former national security advisor HamdullahMohib it is written: “As a security advisor, you did not even bury the bodies of about 700 forces defending you, you escaped, you had all facilities, you fled, while you yourself delivered the Ghani message to our leadership the night before the fall.”
Fact Check
InamullahSamangani, deputy spokesman for the Afghan government, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “This page is completely fake.”
He said that Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat was not active on social media and that the pages created in his name were fake.
Bilal Karimi, another deputy spokesman for the government, also said that the twitter page attributed to Fitrat was fake.

Recently, a page attributed to Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat made controversial posts but the government sources say it is a fake page.
