KABUL (Pajhwok): The cabinet has appointed a delegation headed by Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, deputy prime minister, to examine how to invite bids for four mines of marble in central Maidan Wardak province and lapis lazuli mine in northeastern Badakhshan province.
Inammullah Samangani, deputy government spokesman, said the first and second marble mines in the Behsud district of Maidan Wardak, the third of Daimirdad district and the lapis lazuli mine in Karan wa Minjan district of Badakhshan were among natural deposits to be opened for bidding.
Samangani said that the cabinet asked the delegation to present the outcome with professional opinions to the meeting after a thorough review.
