4 people arrested over illegal excavation of gold

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Four people have been arrested from gold mine over illegal gold excavation in western Ghor province, an official said.

Information and Cultural Department Head Mawlavi Abdul Hai Zaheem said these individuals were arrested from a gold reservoir in the Bahari village of Ferozkoh, the provincial capital.

He said two detained persons hailed from Herat while two others hailed from Ghor province. Some equipment used in gold excavation and a vehicle were also recovered from the detainees.
