KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s coronavirus cases witnesses surge in recent days as the country registered 157 new cases in the past 24 hours, an official said on Friday.
Dr. Javid Hazeez, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health, told Pajhwok Afghan News 157 persons tested positive for Covid-19 virus out of total 1,257 suspected cases brought different laboratories for test.
Thirty-three persons recovered from the respiratory disease in the past 24 hours and no fatality from the virus reported during the period.
