KABUL (Pajhwok): Japanese ambassador Okada Takashi has said his country is ready to reopen its embassy in Kabul as soon as possible.
Ambassador Okada held meetings with senior members of the Taliban, including Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, deputy Prime Minister, and explained Japan’s humanitarian assistance through international organizations.
Okada urged them to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals and local staff and realize the quick and safe passage for those who wanted to leave the country.
