KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul-Jalalabad Highway will be closed today (Tuesday) afternoon for all traffic, an official said.
Mawlavi Hameedullah Mesbah, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works, said the highway is closed due to the fear of rockslide in the Sarobi district.
Work will be carried out on some spots at the mountain height where the possibility of rock-slide exists, he said.
Mawlavi Mesbah asked people to avoid traveling on the highway until the next announcement from the ministry.
Earlier, the busy Kabul-Jalalabad highway was closed for traffic for several hours as a result of a rockslide . . .
