KABUL (Pajhwok): A private radio station, Tajla, has stopped broadcasting in central Maidan Wardak province due to economic woes.
The radio was launched about nine years ago as the first private media outlet in Maidan Shahr, the capital of the province. Apart from Maidan Wardak, residents of Paghman district of Kabul and some other areas also listened to political, economic, sports and social programs on the radio.
The director of the radio, Najibullah Habibi, told reporters in Maidan Wardak that the station was closed due to economic problems.
