Afghan evacuees in Abu Dhabi protest over delay in resettlement

KABUL (Pajhwok): Hundreds of Afghan evacuees in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirate (UAE) have staged a protest against the delay in their resettlement in the United States.

Protesting Afghan evacuees says six months after their evacuation from Afghanistan they were living in uncertainty.

Accusing US President Joe Biden over discriminatory treatment of evacuees in Abu Dahabi compared to those in Doha, they said evacuees in Doha were swiftly resettled in the US.

According to some recent reports, US was establishing an office to swiftly process the documents of Afghan evacuees in Doha.

Historic evacuation process led by US kicked off at Kabul Airport on August 15, which was continued for 17 days evacuating 76,000 Afghans to Qatar.
