KABUL (Pajhwok): A six-year-old boy plunged into a deep well in the Shahr-e-Safa district of southern Zabul province three days ago has died despite rescue efforts, government official said on Friday.
Ahmadullah Waseeq, deputy government spokesperson and director National Radio Television, on his twitter handle wrote after despite huge rescue efforts Haidar breathed his last.
Senior Taliban Leader Annas Haqqani also on his twitter handle wrote Haidar, who plunged into deep well has died.
He wrote: “Unfortunately, Haider separated from us forever, our country witnessed another catastrophe.”
Acting Defence Minister Mullah Mohammad Yaqoub earlier reached Zabul to witness rescue operation closely.
