KABUL (Pajhwok): US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Qatar Foreign Minister Mohammad Bin Abdul Rahman Al Sani have discussed matters related to Afghanistan.
On his Twitter handle, Blinken wrote: “Had a productive meeting today with Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs @MBA_AlThani.
“We discussed the crisis Moscow has precipitated and the urgent need for Russia to deescalate tensions. I also thanked Qatar for continued assistance with Afghanistan.”
He hailed Qatar as a valuable partner of the US and appreciated its efforts in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of American and NATO forces.
