KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Friday condemned the killing of eight polio vaccinators in separate attacks and said the government was committed to eradicating polio and ensuring the safety of all front-line polio vaccinators.
Eight polio vaccinators - four of them women - were killed in separate attacks by unidentified gunmen in Kunduz and Takhar provinces yesterday.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, three of the eight men and a woman were killed in Kunduz city, three in Imam Sahib district of the same province and another in Taloqan, the capital of Takhar province.
