CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): The Salang Pass Protection and Safety Authority has stopped trailers' movements due to snowfall and to prevent traffic congestion.
Abdullah Obaidi, head of the Salang Pass Protection and Safety Authority, said the snowfall has stopped but heavy snowstorm was ongoing.
He urged the drivers of trailers not to move towards Salang and if some had started driving they shall stop before reaching Salang.
Salang Pass connects the central part of the country with the northern part and often gets closed during winter due to heavy snowfall and unfriendly weather conditions.
