MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Local officials in eastern Laghman province say they are planning to build a water storage dam in Sangara area of Alingar district following a report by Pajhwok Afghan News about shortage of water in the area.
Mulavi Mohammad Wali Mohsin, Laghman agriculture director, said he read a Pajhwok report about the shortage of irrigation water in the Sangara area of Alingar district and asked the provincial government to choose an area for building a dam.
A joint team visited the dam area and practical work on the project would start in the near future, he said.
