KABUL (Pajhwok): A Kabul primary court sentenced five people to six months in jail and 35 lashes each for various offenses and two others to 35 lashes only.
A statement issued by the Supreme Court said that Judge Hamidullah Haqqani, the head of the 3rd Zone Criminal Division of the Kabul Primary Court, convicted some accused today.
Ismail, Abdul Ghaffar's son, was sentenced to 35 lashes for selling and drinking alcohol after his confession.
Hamidullah, son of Abdul Qadir, and Azizullah, son of Mohammad Hashim, were sentenced to six months imprisonment and 35 lashes each after confessing to carjacking . . .
