PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Renowned Pakistani medical experts, mandated by the Ministry of Public Health in Kabul, have examined the performance of three leading hospitals.
The three-member team of experts visited the hospitals built by the government of Pakistan to provide quality health services to the Afghan people, APP reported on Friday.
The objective behind the visit was to watch the health services being provided to the Afghans at these hospitals, the news agency said.
The team also noted the difficulties faced by the Afghans and suggestions to bring necessary improvements with financial and technical support of Pakistan.
The experts met the Afghan minister of public health and other officials concerned to incorporate their input and needs.
They visited the Nishtar Kidney Hospital in Jalalabad, Muhammad Ali Jinnah Hospital in Kabul and Naib Aminullah Logari Hospital in Logar.
The visit was aimed to assess what kind of medical assistance was being provided by the Pakistan to run these hospitals and how it could be enhanced.
The team will now submit a detailed report to the health authorities for examination and decisions on the way forward.
