JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A new radio station called Istiqlal has started broadcasting in the 3rd Ground Brigade in eastern Nangarhar province.
Local officials say the radio is broadcasting on 88.5 MHz FM.
Nangarhar governor’s house said in a statement that radio Istiqlal had started broadcasting in 3rdGround Brigade of Khalid Bin Waleed Military Corps.
Mohammad Nizami, commander of the brigade, said in the statement that the radio would broadcast information about the corps’ activities besides Islamic programs.
A radio station called Bayan was previously broadcasting on 88.5 MHz in Nangarhar province.
