KABUL (Pajhwok): French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have called for an inclusive and representative government in Afghanistan, according to a media report on Thursday.
In a joint statement, the two nations expressed serious concern about the humanitarian situation and violation of human rights and reiterated strong support for a peaceful, secure, and stable Afghanistan, emphasizing respect for its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and non-interference in its internal affairs.
They called for an inclusive and representative government, and respect for the rights of women, children and minorities.
Modi is in Paris on a state visit to discuss bilateral ties and the regional situation with the French president.
