8-year-old boy rescued from kidnappers in Paktika

SHARANA (Pajhwok): Security forces rescued an eight-year-old boy from his kidnappers in southeastern Paktika province, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

On its twitter page, the Interior Ministry, without elaborating, said the child was rescued during a series of operations in Sharana, the provincial capital.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident but a manhunt to arrest the kidnappers was underway.
