3 killed, as many injured in Kabul traffic accident

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three people were killed and as many others were injured in a traffic accident involving several vehicles in Sara-i-Shamali area of capital ​​Kabul on Wednesday, officials said.

Nawab Khan Safi, head of Kabul Traffic Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place at around 4am today morning.

He said, “The driver of a truck lost control and crashed his vehicle into another truck carrying animals, which hit a Corolla car and a passenger bus, three people were killed and three others injured in the incident.”

He said the injured were taken to Kabul Emergency Hospital.

Kabul police spokesman, Khalid Zadran confirmed the incident and said that he had received reports of three deaths.

He said four animals – which were being transported in a truck – had also been lost.
