FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Officials in western Farah province say that nearly all the historical monuments of the province face destruction and erosion.
FarhadAyubi, head of the historic monuments’ protection at the information and culture department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that he had shared the issue with the Ministry of Information and Culture.
He said the Laash and Joeen historical sites located near Fararud (Farah River) and some of its parts were being destroyed every year.
Musa Qane, a resident of Farah City, said that the Fraidon Qala, Kafir Qala and KakKuhzad sites faced destruction.
