KABUL (Pajhwok): Former President Hamid Karzai has been stopped from a trip to the United Arab Emirate (UAE), according to credible sources and media reports on Sunday.
The source on the condition of anonymity said Karzai and some other individuals wanted to participate in the funeral prayer of UAE President Shaikh Khalefa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan but acting government officials did not allow them to go abroad.
Pajhwok shared the issue with government spokesperson but they did not comment.
BBC and Tolo News also reported that former President Hamid Karzai had been stopped by authorities from going abroad.
