KABUL (Pajhwok): Taliban’s supreme leader Maulvi Hibatullah Akhundzai has asked local officials in southern Kandahar province to implement his words like a Sharia order.

Maulvi Akhundzada met with administrative and police chiefs of all districts in Kandahar, the Presidential Palace said in a statement issued on Friday.

Kandahar Governor Haji Mohammad Yousuf Wafa and a number of special advisers were also present at the meeting.

Akhundzai introduced his advisors to the officials and military officials of Kandahar Provincial Administration and gave them necessary recommendations and instructions.

He also gave necessary instructions and recommendations to the participants, the source added.

He told the participants to memorize the words of the scholars and act accordingly.

He also recommended to the participants that his words should be practiced and memorized as a rule of Sharia.

The head of the caretaker government also advised the participants to obey their emirs as if they do not obey, their success will turn into failure.

“Implement all the decrees of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on your own and convey them to all the district officials and every citizen. Correct your shortcomings, do not make mistakes,” he said.

He asked his followers not to expose the faults of their emirs in public and do not complain among themselves.

He also asked the participants to avoid taking unnecessary pictures on mobile phones and recording videos.

He added: “Raise the level of knowledge of Mujahideen, organize seminars for them, introduce them to administrative terms.”

He also asked his followers to avoid giving much time to the use of the internet as it wasted their precious time.

The head of the Islamic Emirate told his supporters to style their hair in accordance with Sharia, and to refrain from growing long hair.

Panjwai Police Chief Maulvi Faizani and Ghorak District Governor Maulvi Misbah spoke on behalf of all district and police chiefs and shared some problems and demands with their leader.
