Nangarhar: Defense minister visits Durand Line

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Defence Minister Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid has urged troops in the east to defend their motherland.

The minister and the officials accompanying him visited the Durand Line in eastern Nangarhar province on Friday.

A brief statement from the Ministry of Defence said Yaqoob Mujahid visited the 201st Khalid bin Waleed Corps brigade in Achin district.

The defence minister directed soldiers to serve the people and stay strong in defending Afghanistan’s territory.

Yaqoob Mujahid recently visited Panjsher and several other provinces in order to assess the current security environment.
