TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Some residents of Taloqan City, the capital of northern Takhar province, have asked the government to control the prices of essential items.
Khwaja Abdullah, the resident of Taloqan City, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The prices of essential items were on the rise in Taloqan markets each passing day.”
He said currently, seven kilograms of wheat is accounted for 350 afs while the same quantity of rice accounted for 400 afs in the markets.
Abdul Hameed, another resident of Taloqan City, also complained against soaring prices of essential items.
