PARON (Pajhwok): The deputy police chief for the Du Aab district of eastern Nuristan province has been killed as a result of a clash between two families, an official said on Monday.
Saifuddin Laton, the governor’s spokesman, confirmed the killing of Mobin during a gunbattle between two famileis in Peyar area.
He did not provide further detail but said security forces had launched an investigation into the incident.
Haqparast, a resident of Du Aab district told Pajhwok Afghan News the two families were involved in a dispute over a piece of land damaged by floods.
